Classic Wines Auction Hosting 17 Winemaker Dinners for Charity Across the Portland Metro Area, Nov. 17-19
Tickets nearly sold out for winemaker dinners to benefit local charities dedicated to helping children and families in the community
PORTLAND, Ore. – The Classic Wines Auction (CWA) will hold 17 fall winemaker dinners to benefit local charities Nov. 17-19. The annual winemaker dinners, held at award-winning Portland and Vancouver restaurants each fall and spring, offer guests one-night-only menus specially prepared for the evening. The multi-course dinners are paired with wines from 23 esteemed and local winemakers.
Seats for each dinner are $160 per person (gratuity included/business attire) and tickets are going quickly.
CWA is also introducing a more casual dining option as part of this series. P.R.E.A.M. Pizza, one of the biggest names in Portland’s growing pizza scene, is partnering with Ovum Wines and Minimus Winery, two of the region’s up-and-coming wineries. This dinner, held on Thursday, November 19, 2015, will feature a multi-course meal for $75, including dessert.

This year’s fall dinner series also includes the return of the winemaker dinner raffle. Only 350 raffle tickets will be sold at $50 each. Prizes include $100 gift certificates to various restaurants participating in the fall winemaker dinners. The raffle drawing will be held on Dec. 1. Winners will be notified by phone, following the at-random drawing.
Revenues raised from the winemaker dinners and raffle tickets support five benefiting charities from the Portland metro area and SW Washington, including: Metropolitan Family Service, New Avenues for Youth, Friends of the Children-Portland, YWCA Clark County, Randall Children’s Hospital at Legacy Emanuel, and Special Olympics Oregon.
