Presented by Mercedes-Benz of Portland and Mercedes-Benz of Beaverton, the 2020 Gala Auction welcomed 650 guests at the Oregon Convention Center. The event featured hundreds of Silent and Super-Silent Auction items, tastings from top Portland chefs, more than fifty wineries from around the world, a multi-course dinner, and incredible Live Auction lots.

With another successful season in the books, the Classic Wines Auction has raised more than $50 million for its nonprofit partners since the Auction’s inception in 1982. This milestone comes on the heels of its 2019 event again being honored as one of Wine Spectator’s top 10 charity wine auctions in the U.S.
 

The 2020 Gala Auction includes curated packages including fine wines, exclusive global travel opportunities, and singular experiences not available anywhere else. Live auction items include an excursion to Chile to witness the 2020 full solar eclipse, an exclusive tour of the Krug Champagne house, a Mercedes-Benz G-550 driven by Portland Trail Blazers star CJ McCollum, and many more.

Classic Wines Auction, a nationally recognized charity wine auction based in Portland, announces a year-long series of events, including the March 7, 2020 Classic Wines Auction Gala and Auction, more than seventy seasonal Winemaker Dinners, and the June 4, 2020 tasting event Corks + Forks.

Recognized by Wine Spectator as one of the top ten charity wine auctions in the country, Classic Wines Auction has held a longstanding mission of supporting local charities working in the communities of Oregon and Southwest Washington. Through ongoing events and the annual Gala Auction in March, Classic Wines Auction has raised nearly $50 million since 1982.

One of the country’s longest-running charity wine auctions reaches its milestone 35th year supporting the local community. Classic Wines Auction was officially established in 1982 by a group of friends who came together to raise money for Metropolitan Family Service (MFS). Since then, the auction and associated events have raised more than $46 million for local nonprofits, benefiting more than one million individuals in the Portland community.

This year, thanks to Presenting Sponsor Mercedes-Benz of Portland and Mercedes-Benz of Beaverton, a 2019 Mercedes-Benz G550 SUV, driven by Seattle Seahawks Quarterback Russell Wilson, will also be auctioned off.
