Three couples will spend three nights in Santa Barbara, during the Old Spanish Days festival, immersed in wine’s wonderfully nontraditional—yet still serious—side.
You’ll make the airy Hotel Californian your home for August 1-4, 2019. With its elegant Spanish Revival-inspired decor, rooftop pool, and amazing views of the Pacific Ocean, your shoulders will feel lighter as soon as you check in. That evening, dine at The Lark, a favorite hotspot serving local, seasonal food you’ll want to
slow down and savor.
The next day, you’ll drive to the rolling Sta. Rita Hills and visit Domaine de la Côte for the highlight of your weekend: a personal tour and tasting with Rajat Parr. Raj is a three-time James Beard Award-winning author, sommelier, and winemaker and renowned throughout the world for his insight and hospitality. Raj will guide
you through the winery’s outstanding offerings, giving you an insider’s perspective of the wine world. Later, you’ll return to Santa Barbara for dinner at Bibi Ji. Raj's newest restaurant venture Bibi Ji, an homage to the mothers and grandmothers of India. Here you will be mesmerized in the flavors of Raj's childhood home.
On Saturday, you won’t want to miss an afternoon at the Cold Water Spring Tavern, a favorite spot for locals, including winemakers and chefs, and famous for their delicious weekend barbecues and live music. Even more amazing, that weekend is the Santa Barbara Old Spanish Days Festival, packing every day with opportunities for more fun!
Spend Sunday playing golf and relaxing at the Hotel California’s Turkish spa before heading back home with a new set of extraordinary experiences and a wealth of wine knowledge to share with your friends.
