About the wines:

"Double Zero" is a family-owned and operated winery making distinctive wines that push the potential of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir forward in Oregon and France. 00 wines proprietors Chris and Kathryn Hermann are longtime donors and supporters of the Classic Wines Auction. The mission and work of Metropolitan Family Service is especially close to their hearts. Their 98 pt and 97 pt Chardonnays are recognized by collectors, somms, and wine critics around the world as some of the most exciting new wines being produced in the New World today.  In addition to their Willamette Valley wines, the Hermanns and their international winemaking team produce Grand Cru Chardonnay in Burgundy and in Champagne.

Cristom Vineyard’s winemaking philosophy begins with respect for the land and our estate vines, both of which are farmed using biodynamic principles. Now in our 28th year and second generation of ownership, winegrower Tom Gerrie leads winemaker Steve Doerner and vineyard manager & co-winemaker Daniel Estrin in producing wines that are honest recording of both the vineyard and vintage, through the use of old-world winemaking techniques such as whole-cluster fermentation through native yeasts, and no filtration.
