Luxury Fly-Fishing Adventure & Four Seasons of Friendship with Cristom Vineyards​

In celebration of the Classic Wine Auction’s 35th anniversary, Cristom Vineyards is honored to offer two couples the opportunity to share a year with them, both as members of their Cellar Club and all experiences it entails, and also as their honored guests for several unique and exclusive events—including the culmination of a fully inclusive Spring fly-fishing adventure on the McKenzie River with 2nd generation owner & winegrower Tom Gerrie, and his father, founder Paul Gerrie.

 

To kick things off, both couples will be welcomed into The Rosette Guild, Cristom’s highest-end club option. The fun begins nearly immediately, both with your first club shipment arriving at the beginning of April, and the first of several member-only events on Saturday, May 4. Over the course of the summer, you and your guests will be welcomed at the estate for complimentary tasting experiences, vineyard tours, and their beloved annual Cellar Club Summer Picnic on Saturday, August 17, set atop their sprawling estate in the Eola-Amity Hills.

 

As summer fades and harvest approaches, you’ll also join Cristom winemakers Tom Gerrie and Steve Doerner for one of their timehonored harvest lunches. Each year, Cristom hires an estate chef for the duration of crush, who daily prepares a welcoming lunch feast for their winemaking team, allowing them a brief reprieve each afternoon to sit down, break bread together, and blind-taste assorted wines from around the world. After sharing this special meal with them, you’ll join them in the winery to experience harvest first-hand by “working” (or simply observing!) alongside their tenured winemaking team.

 

At the conclusion of harvest, both couples will have the opportunity to join them at several holiday events, including their annual Thanksgiving Weekend celebration, as well as their member-only Cellar Club Harvest Celebration. Your Cellar Club member benefits will continue over the course of the winter, including a private tour of the barrel cellar, where you’ll have a chance to visit the same wines you assisted in making during your harvest lunch experience!

 

As a new cycle of growth approaches, Spring of 2020 brings the culminating event: a 3-day, 2-night guided fly-fishing adventure on the McKenzie River! They’ll provide the private accommodations, all related fishing equipment, delectable meals, and a lifetime of memories as you learn the unique history of Cristom directly from their founding family. You’ll also sample bottles from some of Paul’s fly-fishing buddies, including Mike Etzel (of Beaux Freres), and the late Gary Andrus (of Archery Summit).

Limitations: Spring 2020 McKenzie fly-fishing adventure to be scheduled by December 31st, 2019, for dates between Saturday March 30th 2020 and Monday June 17th 2020. Harvest Lunch experience is redeemable Mondays – Friday, and will be scheduled no less than 14 days in advance. Exact date range dependent on 2019 harvest. Cellar Season private tour to be scheduled no less than 30 days in advance.
