DESCRIPTION

Get ready for takeoff in the Rombauer Vineyards family’s red, white and blue flying machine! The lucky winners of this lot will be flown in Rombauer’s private jet to the Sierra Foothills, home of the winery’s new tasting room and some of California’s oldest and most revered zinfandel vines. This excursion, designed to immerse zin lovers in the breathtaking beauty of this fascinating growing region, includes a relaxing two-night stay at the aptly-named Rest, a boutique hotel in the quaint wine country town of Plymouth. 

 

A private tasting of Rombauer’s reserve wines, including its single-vineyard zinfandels, is followed by a tour of the winery’s majestic Twin Rivers Vineyard, which sits 1,650 above sea level. Capping off the day is dinner at Taste Restaurant and Wine Bar, a recipient of the Wine Spectator Magazine Award of Excellence every year since 2008. To make the memories last, the winners will take home a mixed case of Rombauer zinfandels.
