KOERNER ROMBAUER AWARD FOR SERVICE

The Koerner Rombauer Award for Service was created in 2007 to recognize individuals, like Koerner Rombauer, that have consistently served, funded, and supported the Classic Wines Auction and its benefiting nonprofit partners.

George Hosfield

George Hosfield, CFA, served on the Classic Wines Auction Board for six years, from Spring 2009 through Spring 2015. He is one of very few board members to have served on every committee during his tenure: Executive, Audit, Compensation and Nominating, plus he served as Board Chair from 2012-2013. He moved to the Emeritus Board in 2015 and still serves today.

George is Ferguson Wellman’s chief investment officer and chairs the firm’s Investment Policy Committee. Hosfield is a portfolio manager with individual and institutional clients concentrated in Oregon, Washington and California. He is a director of the firm.

 

In 1991, Hosfield joined the firm following a career with Qualivest Capital Management in Portland, Oregon as a vice president and portfolio manager. Raised in Eugene, he graduated with honors from the University of Oregon, where he received both a B.S. in management and an M.B.A. in finance.

 

Hosfield is a member and past president of the Chartered Financial Analysts Society of Portland and a Director and past board chair of the Classic Wines Auction. He also serves on the boards of Oregon Health & Science University, University of Oregon’s Portland Council, the Jesuit High School Endowment and the Cascade Pacific Council of the Boy Scouts. Hosfield and his wife, Monica have two adult children, live in Lake Oswego and enjoy athletics and traveling in their spare time.
